I’m gonna buy a Shy Slide today when we go out to KZoo. New sounds I can make? Yes please.
I’m looking at potentially buying an all and out metal amp and then using only the clean channel set to be on the edge of breakup and occasionally using the ultra distorted lead channel for really high gain leads with lots of sustain.
I’m thinking about it. I really am.
Digitech’s releasing a new looper in August. That’s… a bit later than I’d like to have one though. I mean, I suppose I could get a regular Digitech JamMan Solo and then when they drop the new one get one of those and run it as a slave off the Solo, that’d get me what I want, two independent loops. Hmmmm
Maybe. If I take summer classes I’ll look at what my loan amount is and decide from there if I want to pick one up, just to be able to start playing shows.
There’s too much rosewood in my room.
I don’t know if it’s the temperature or what, but my fuzz feels a lot less dynamic and well… fuzzy. The transistors are really sensitive to temperature, so It’s possible that’s what’s up, I’ll try adjusting the bias and see if that fixes it, otherwise I may throw my booster back on the board and run that, I want obnoxious out of control fuzz and my fuzz face isn’t supplying it right now.
I kinda want to get a really cheap guitar body and prime and paint it, but my next guitar is going to be a seven string, so it’s kinda… I don’t know of anywhere that sells anything I could call cheap seven string bodies.
Alternatively, I could find a whole seven string guitar for cheap and take it apart and paint that, but I don’t know. That’s just a thing that I’ll probably never actually get around to doing.
I’m considering putting my amp up for sale or for trades and seeing if anyone bites. I don’t know exactly what amp I would want in place of it and I don’t dislike it by any means, but I’d really like an effects loop and maybe the ability to play like, prog-metal ish stuff? I don’t know, I’m not amazingly interested in it, but that’s the direction everyone around here seems to go so it wouldn’t hurt to be able to do it. That seems like a Peavey XXX would be up my alley, or the Bugera clone of it, but those things don’t hang onto their value and trading for one would be a bit of a loss.
I dunno, I’ll just see what happens. I’ll list it after I get home tonight.
it’d cost me $12.86 + shipping to build a Russian Big Muff clone.
Maybe later. That’s really cheap, but I should save for now.
My new analog delay also responds better to being put into a feedback loop than the digital one. This makes for a bit more complicated a wiring situation, but it’ll still work.
Why the fuck is thumping so fucking hard!?
